Beryl has enjoyed an eclectic working life prior to becoming a Chartered Accountant. She studied a range of subjects from zoology and computing to psychology and accounting over many years at various tertiary institutions, completing a Diploma of Business (Management) followed by a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Edith Cowan University in 2010.

Having spent part of her childhood growing up in the wheat belt, she has a working understanding of rural business and communities.  She has also lived abroad and so experienced different cultures and perspectives. She has held many positions in not-for-profit entities, mainly in adult learning, conservation and community groups.  She has also completed a course in Fine Wood Design and Construction from the Forest Heritage Centre.

Prior to joining the Thornburys Group in 2010 she worked as a Financial Management Officer in State Government with oversight of significant assets and operational areas, including trust funds. After completing the requirements to become a Chartered Accountant in 2013 she also qualified as a Registered Self-Managed Super Fund Auditor and is currently working towards qualification as a Registered Company Auditor.

Beryl draws on her experience in management accounting, tax accounting and audit to provide clients with accounting and audit services that recognise the realities of operating in the rapidly changing world.
